Road Closures
The majority of closed road stages will be used only once, but some will be used twice on separate days, and usually in the opposite direction. For obvious safety reasons, the roads will need to be closed during the running of each competitive stage, each closure being for a maximum of 5 hours. All road closures will be with the approval of the South Australian Police Service, local councils and the relevant Local Government authorities in each area. All residents living on or close to the closed road sections of the event will be kept fully informed of the exact road closure dates and times.

Emergencies During Road Closure Times
During this time, for safety reasons, no vehicle or pedestrian access will be available. If you require emergency assistance, dial 000 as usual. DO NOT enter the closed road section. Classic Adelaide has tested protocols in place to allow emergency vehicles access to the closed road sections. However, as a part of the safety back-up of the rally, paramedic ambulances, Fire Tenders and rescue vehicles, as well as Police, will be in position on every closed road stage, and, should an emergency situation arise with a local residence, the facilities of the rally will be ready to be deployed to assist.
Event Insurances
Classic Adelaide will be covered by a public liability cover through the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS), in addition to personal accident insurance cover for competitors. All vehicles will further be covered by compulsory third party insurance.
